Sephora recently came out with their limited edition 'colour of the year' Pantone palette. I purchased the 2014 edition and was very happy with it; so I figured I would give this new one a try! The 2015 'colour of the year' features a dark burgundy shade named 'Marsala' - which is located in the upper center four cubes of the set. The featured shade comes in four different finishes; matte, shimmer, pearl and glitter.
One thing I like about this palette right off the bat is that although it is mainly a warm tone set, it still includes some cool shades in the bottom right corner. This is a key selling point because it gives the user variety. While applying each shade I was happy with the soft texture and pigment. It may seem like a relatively large size but you would be quite shocked seeing it in person as it is very small. This makes the palette portable in everyday life and great for travelling. I also admire the shades that were chosen because I feel it will work well for anyone of any skin colour.
I know some people shy away from red or pink toned eye shadows because it can sometimes make the eyes appear tired. Be brave and give this palette a try. Due to the darker tone of the burgundy you get a lot of depth from these shades. If anything, you will look like a bronzed Hawaiian goddess. Promise.
In a nutshell:
-Portable
-Good pigment
-Multi-finish
-Good Value ($49)
-Colourful
-Soft texture
Notes:
Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Black

Stay tuned!
