It may only be February, but in the makeup world, girl it is SPRING! I get overly excited for these spring-time launches because it promotes the idea that spring is just around the corner (so we hope...) Lise Watier Expression Blush Trio
Inspired by an artist's palette, this blush is just gorgeous. I always love a multi-faced blush as it gives a ton of dimension and looks extremely natural. With equal amounts of reds, pinks and corals; this blush is a great choice for someone who really doesn't know which colour is best suited for him or her. Simply sweep over cheekbones and apply to the apples of the cheeks to achieve a flushed, glowing finish. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, $38, Limited Edition.
Lise Watier Expression Palette
This beautiful palette is also part of the Spring Collection by Lise Watier. Featuring pastel shades, this palette is the perfect pop of colour you need in preparing for spring. The shadows feel creamy and are extremely blend-able. Long-lasting and easy to apply, the colours will brighten up any face to promote a healthy, glowing skin. Use the pink and charcoal shades for a natural look, and the two turquoise shades for something with a little more edge! Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, $42, Limited Edition.
Clarins Lip Balm Perfector(s)
Tinted lip balms are huge right now, which works for me because I absolutely love them. I couldn't have been more excited to hear about these beautiful balms being launched. Available in six shades, these balms give a very sheer colour with a whole lotta' moisture. Super glossy, plumping and comfortable - your lips will feel fabulous all day long. A lightweight sweet scent will accompany the barely-there feel. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, $22, dear lady's favourite shade: 05 Red.
Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette(s)
I have been waiting for this launch for quite some time. I am a huge fan of Hourglass products; they feel so soft and are incredibly smooth. These eyeshadows are revolutionary. Combining matte and shimmery shades, you truly get it all from the 7 different palette choices. The product is very finely-milled, making the eye shadows very easy to blend. Extremely wearable and buildable, you get to customize your look based on the intensity you desire. I can't comment enough about just how gorgeous and pigmented these shadows are. Ugh. Smashbox Double Exposure Palette
I have to admit, I was not a fan of the original Exposure Palette. To me, it was far too neutral and dare I say it... boring. This new Double Exposure Palette is on a whole other level. With this product you are getting many more options when it comes to colour range. Don't get me wrong, you can still achieve a neutral or natural look with these colours; however you also have the option of adding cooler, more colourful shades. This palette can also be worn wet or dry. When wet, these colours amp up vibrancy, become deeper, turn metallic, or create sparkle for endless, customizable eye looks. *Note: Always wet the shadow brush, never the shadow itself. Also included, a travel size Full Exposure Mascara. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, $60.
