Happy Hump Day everyone! I thought I would take the time today to talk about vegan cosmetic brands. Today, being vegan is a way of life and it would only make sense that the people who choose to live this way would naturally be looking for cosmetic brands that would cater to this lifestyle. There are two brands I will be featuring today that are 100% vegan, along with another brand that carries a vegan collection. I also want to mention that all of the companies I feature today are cruelty-free, which is something that is very important to me. Enjoy!
Cover FX
You may not know that Cover FX is 100% vegan! This is a line that I have been working with for a very long time. Cover FX was originally created for people who suffer from skin disorders causing extreme pigmentation or uneven skin tone. It was also created based on the need for products that would offer therapeutic benefits and environmental protection while being free of all irritants and suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Each product is packed with vitamins, emollients and redness reducers plus free of the inflammatory 5: parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil and talc. In my opinion, this line offers the best coverage you can find on the market today. Certain products such as the total coverage cream foundation are even used for tattoo cover ups! This brand is a fabulous option if you are looking for cruelty-free, vegan cosmetics because it caters to all skin types and ethnicities. Don't need a ton of coverage? That's fine! Try their BB or CC cream for a silky-smooth lightweight finish. Cover Fx also makes amazing primers, powders and concealers. You can even purchase their very own professional brushes to apply the product(s) of your choice. Now that's a brand worth trying. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
You may have heard of this brand before due to their incredibly popular Lip Tar. OCC strives to be on the forefront of colour cosmetics, catering to professional makeup artists while maintaining their cruelty-free heritage. OCC is 100% vegan and internationally certified by PETA. Why did this brand become so popular? Many people are crazy about their Lip Tar products because it is almost like paint for your lips! They come in a wide variety of colours and are also made to be blended or mixed together to create personalized shades suited to your taste! As we all know, blue lipsticks and/or dark purple shades are becoming increasingly popular and are very hard to find. OCC offers pretty much any colour you could think of which is why they sell out so quickly. Available in numerous finishes, Lip Tar products will be sure to stay vibrant while lasting all day long. Besides these popular lip products, OCC also offers a wide variety of liners, nail lacquers and brushes. In in nutshell, I would describe this brand as being creative, bold and fun! Available at Sephora.
Tarte Cosmetics: Vegan Collection
Before I go on, I want to make it clear that not all products made by Tarte are vegan; only this collection. Moving right along, although not all of their products are vegan, they are all made from naturally-derived ingredients such as plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, and essential oils. They are cruelty-free, and are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten. The vegan collection offers mascara, liners, brushes, bronzers and foundations (to name a few). What I love most about their products is that they all feel very lightweight and appear super natural. It feels good just applying each product and knowing you are doing your skin a favour by applying only the good ingredients onto your skin. The lip products and blushes come in a beautiful array of colours and can be worn any time of the year to achieve a beautifully fresh, natural finish. Available at Sephora.
That's it for today beauty lovers! I hope you enjoyed the post.
Stay Tuned,
dear lady
