Good evening fellow beauty worshippers! I have teamed up with a dear friend of mine to write a piece dedicated to everything that is eyebrows. 2015 has brought many beauty trends; one being a big focus on thicker, bolder eyebrows. There are many ways to tame and perfect your flawless friends that we are happy to share with you! Always remember, your eyebrows are sisters, not twins! I will now leave it to my dear friend Mariela Karadzhova to explain the rest.
Hope you enjoy the article!

Greetings from the Brow Expert. Have you ever seen those funny pictures about "brow contact" posted all over blogs and social media pages? Well even if you haven't, I must stress how important brows are! Our eyebrows are a major feature on the face and are connected to our emotions. Just by grooming and shaping our brows properly, we can change the overall appearance of our face!
There is a broad spectrum of grooming options, the basics being waxing, threading, tinting and trimming. I would not recommend excessive plucking with tweezers or laser/electrolysis brow hair removal. From my observations, it is safe to say that this year's hottest trend for 2015 is bold eyebrows that appear thicker and fuller with a slight arch. Megan Fox is a perfect example for this bold look.
With that being said, it is also important to further explore brow grooming, if you haven’t done so already. By filling in our brows with a pencil, powder, wax or gel; we can manipulate the natural shape of our eyebrows! You can create a higher arch to open up the eyes, or you can thicken the brows to add some volume and definition to your natural shape and fill in any area(s) in which the hairs are sparse or lighter in colour. There are many combinations in which the brows can be filled in, however - the main goal is to make them look as natural as possible. This is a piece of cake when you've got the right products at hand.
Firstly, if you are a beginner or want something that is quick or on-the-go, I would recommend:
GIMME BROW - by Benefit Cosmetics
What it is: A brow-volumizing fiber gel.
What it does: This innovative brush-on fiber gel sticks to skin and hair, mimicking hair if there isn't any (perfect for sparse areas). It builds easily for thick, beautiful arches, thanks to a tapered brush for blending and a precision tip for shaping (adding definition and length to the brow). The fiber gel is water resistant, long wearing, and buildable. Perfect for beginners, it looks flawless and natural every time! Available in two shades, light and dark.
Available at: Shoppers Drug Mart and Sephora, $28
Mass Substitute: Maybelline Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara
Now, for those of you who would like a bolder brow line, I would suggest going for something a little different. In order to achieve something a bit more dramatic, try:
DOUBLE DEFINITION AUTOMATIC BROW LINER - by Lise Watier
What it is:
A retractable eyebrow pencil with an integrated brush.
What it does:
Double Definition Automatic Brow Liner can be used on the eyebrows by lining the top and bottom to enhance the arch. The innovative oval tip defines and fills the brows, and the integrated brush keeps them structured. This product makes it easy to achieve an "ombre effect" for the ultimate natural look. Just line the brow, fill, and brush from beginning to end for a flawless, smooth finish. Available in three shades.
Available at: Shoppers Drug Mart, $21
Mass Substitute: Revlon Brow Fantasy
Once you've filled in your eyebrows and are satisfied with the final result - don't forget this important last step! In order to achieve the illusion of a higher arch, you should add a highlight! I would suggest:
HIGH BROW - by Benefit Cosmetics
What it is:
A brow-lifting and enhancing pencil.
What it does:
With one quick stroke directly under the arch of your brow, this soft pencil instantly adds lift and life to the entire eye area. Another useful tip? Line the entire brow area and blend with fingertips to create a greater contrast between the eyes and brow bone. This will create a stronger focal point on your structured, bold brows!
Available at: Shoppers Drug Mart and Sephora, $26
Mass Substitute: L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer
Thanks for reading & with love,
