Good evening readers! Today I am going to talk about my favourite fragrances of all time. A fragrance is something that you select based on your personal style. That being said, there are many people (like myself) who collect fragrances and wear them based on mood, season or occasion. It would be near impossible for me to choose just one, which is why I'm going to talk to you about three. Fragrances are very personal to us because they can be a powerful memory trigger. Whether they remind you of a significantly happy time in your life, or a special person, they are a wonderful way for us to be able to reflect on the past with a smile.
Now, I can guarantee that my favourites will change over time - however the following scents I have to share with you today are ones that I will simply love forever.
What are your favourites?
These are mine,
xoxo dear lady
Sì, Giorgio Armani
Details: Sì is a tribute to modern femininity, an irresistible combination of grace, strength, and independent spirit. A modern chypre reinvented, Sì opens with deep blackcurrant nectar that softly recedes to airy florals. A base of musky blond wood adds lightness while grounding the fragrance for a lingering, distinctive trail.
Notes: Chypre, Blackcurrant Nectar, Airy Florals, Musky Blond Wood.
Style: Graceful. Modern. Unconventional.
Why I love it: At first, I fell in love with the sweet smell of blackcurrant. While intoxicating, the smell is incredibly lightweight; with the ability to last all day. It is a modern classic for women who enjoy mildly sweet, floral scents.
La Vie Est Belle, Lancome
Details: La vie est belle or life is beautiful—the expression of a new era. It represents a choice; the choice to break free from convention, the choice to create your own path to happiness. La vie est belle introduces a new olfactive story, the first ever iris gourmand. The juice is made with the most precious natural ingredients, a modern interpretation of an oriental fragrance with a twist of gourmand. It entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of patchouli and the sweetness of a gourmand blend for an incredible scent with depth and complexity.
Notes: Iris, Patchouli, Gourmand.
Style: Free. Happy. Deep.
Why I love it: For me, this fragrance was an instant favourite. Although it is rather sweet, there is a spicy, dangerous side to this fabulous creation. Out of all of my favourites, I can still smell this scent on my wrists the day after it was applied. A true whimsical scent for a woman who is sweet, sexy and free.
La Petite Robe Noire, Guerlain
Details: An absolutely essential and utterly irresistible perfumed creation. The legendary heart-shaped bottle has been boldly reinterpreted with a modern touch. Its crystalline transparency, fading from black to powdery pink, reveals the silhouette of the little, black dress. Its simple signature enhances and romances several exceptional materials in a bold overdose—black cherry blinks the first wink. It is illustrated by a clever blend that extends exquisite almond and delicious berries. The second wink takes place as rose enters the stage. Finally, the shadowy temptations of licorice and smoky black tea are ever-so-revealing and lead to irresistible seduction. For the ultimate temptation, the entire creation is wrapped in Guerlinade—fresh, enigmatic, and exhilarating, mischievous and captivating.
Notes: Black Cherry, Bergamot, Red Berries, Almond.
Style: Fresh. Enigmatic. Exhilarating.
Why I love it: This scent is truly one-of-a-kind. I can't compare it to anything else! I first picked up on the black cherries; a note that I find gives the fragrance a dark, mysterious sex appeal. This scent is made for a strong, independent woman; a woman who's scent will remain in a room, long after she's gone.
