My Highlighter Obsession...

G'day mates! Okay... that was weird. It has been quite some time since I have blogged and for that I'm truly sorry. As we all know, life can become stressful and have an impact on our hobbies and everyday enjoyments. Any who, I'm back. One thing I have yet to discuss is something that I have a weakness for; highlighters. Products that promote an overall radiance are huge in the winter months; why? Because we all start to lose our summer glow and people start to question whether or not we're suffering from some sort of illness. By the way, I'm aware I said "winter months" and for that I apologize... from here on out let's pretend I said fall (as if that season exists in Canada.) Moving on, I want to share a few products I have recently become obsessed with and hope that you can appreciate them half as much as I do.

Without further rambling, here are my top picks for best highlighters on the market NOW.

Becca + Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector: Champagne Pop

What:

BECCA collaborated with YouTube beauty celebrity and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill to create a new limited-edition shade of their number one bestselling luminizer powder. Featuring her dream shade, Champagne Pop—a soft white, gold shade with pinky peach undertones—this creamy luminizer leaves the skin with a soft pearlized glow. It’s infused with light-reflecting pearls that beautifully catch the light, allowing your favorite features to pop.

How to use:

To create light and lift, trace the letter “C” around your eye in one continuous sweep. Start at the middle of your forehead and sweep all the way around the temple and on top of the cheekbone. For an overall glow, apply all over the face with a big, fluffy powder brush.

Where:

Sephora.

Notes:

This is a limited edition product, $46.

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder

What:

Naked Illuminated powder is first baked on a terra cotta disc for 24 hours, and then it is finished by hand. Baking the powder gives it a high level of just-perfect shimmer, without the metallic look of cheaper formulas. This lightweight, baked powder has a sophisticated micro fine shimmer that’s smooth and silky, with light-reflecting particles that leave a luminous, radiant look.

How to use:

Use this powder to highlight from your cheekbones to your collarbone and beyond. *Can be used on the body.

Where:

Sephora.

Notes:

This highlighter comes in two shades; "Aura" is pictured above. $35.

Benefit Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter

What:

This cream-to-powder highlighter turns up the wattage with a delicate, gorgeous champagne glow. Its smooth application and luminous sheen switches on the "wow" factor for any complexion.

How to use:

Apply it to cheeks and brow bones, then sculpt with the soft-glow blender for your perfect gleam.

Where:

Sephora.

Notes:

$39.

There you have it beauty babes! Hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to stay tuned!

XOXO
