#LushHaul

Good afternoon ladies and gents! As you can tell by the title of this blog post, I recently made a trip to Lush and picked up a few items that I'm very excited about. Since I have been using Saje products, I have drifted away from Lush a bit simply because not all of their products are paraben-free *sigh. However, there are still some hidden gems that are (mostly) natural in which I can't get enough of.

What are parabens you ask? Well, the most basic definition is, "any of a group of compounds used as preservatives in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and in the food industry." These preservatives have been controversial due to the discovery of their presence in many forms of cancer. Yikes, I know. Therefore, I do try to stay away from products that contain parabens as much as I can.

The important thing to note is that the three products I will be talking about today are paraben-free. I encourage all of you to really pay attention to what you're putting onto your skin. Make sure to always check ingredients and keep in mind that the more natural the product, the safer for your body. Enjoy!

Mint Julips Lip Scrub

What?

A wonderfully fresh scrub for your lips.

Why?

We all know that this time of year our skin dries out due to the cold weather; our lips are no exception. Recently, I've noticed after applying one of my matte lipsticks, my lips look bumpy and/or flaky. I knew it was time to give them a little TLC. Lush describes this product as the perfect pout polish and says, "Just like the scrumptious cocktail served in hot southern summers, Mint Julips is packed full of fresh peppermint and sweet castor sugar. Peppermint is responsible for that ‘tingly feeling’ you get after brushing your teeth or using lip balm, so we thought it would make a perfect addition to our lip scrub! Plus, it makes Mint Julips taste like a big, creamy bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream." I don't know about you, but now I'm hungry.

Notes:

This product is vegan and does not contain any synthetics.

Mask of Magnaminty *Self-Preserving Formula

What?

A deep-cleansing face and body mask that will reach deep down and pull dirt from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation.

Why?

Blackheads, pimples, redness - you name it! This minty mask uses aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe sensitive skin. After using this product my skin feels cool, fresh and beautifully smooth. This formula has been expertly rebalanced, so there’s no need for any synthetic preservatives – it’s completely self-preserving! Simply plaster this deep green mask all over your clean face, neck and back (if needed). Leave it on for up to 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water, massaging as you go (avoiding the eye area).

Notes:

This mask contains fragrance.

Organic Therapy Massage Bar

What?

An organic massage bar that melts upon contact. *Can be used as a moisturizer for the skin.

Why?

This wonderful little bar is blended with Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and organic shea butter; making it the perfect tool for a soft and smooth massage. It also contains neroli and lavender essential oils, which act as a moisturizer for dry skin types. Simply glide the massage bar directly over dry skin; it will melt upon contact. Massage or rub the oils into the skin. As massage bars are made with natural butters and oils, take care to ensure they absorb completely before putting on your clothes. Massage bars melt at body temperature, keep yours somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight.

Notes:

This product is organic, vegan and completely natural.

Thanks for reading,

stay tuned.
